HISTORY

Southwest Refractory of Texas was founded in 1985 by Ronnie Rudell, Sr. and has been a successful leader in specialized refractory work. Southwest was founded on the basis of providing safety conscience, quality, cost effective engineering, construction, maintenance and specialty service to clients. For many years SWR worked locally within the coastal Texas refining and petrochemical arena.

In the mid to late ninety’s SWR branched into several states including Nevada, Indiana and Louisiana specializing in completing large shutdowns cost-effectively, safely and on time.

In more recent years, SWR has completed work on an international level. SWR also holds many maintenance contracts with large companies around the nation.
In the coming years SWR looks to continue to provide safe, innovative, cost-effective work locally, nationally and globally. SWR management is proactive in assessing market fluctuations, attentive to client needs and prides themselves on their quick response time to client issues.
